The System

The system is funny in how it works. It can take its own sweet time in ordering an electric wheelchair. The system wants the disabled to be happy, productive and independent. But the system doesn’t provide adequate care to the disabled, like paying low wages to care attendants, causing a high turnover rate. Disabled people are just statistics, living in poverty. People say that people with disabilities deserve the best, but they don’t want to pay more taxes. Why should the disabled live in poverty?
