Here’s an example of why Medicaid is going broke and needs to be reformed. I needed a new back for my manual wheelchair costing three hundred dollars, but Medicaid refused to pay it. Medicaid was willing to buy a new manual wheelchair, which costs between two and three thousand dollars. Does it make sense to replace a three-year-old manual wheelchair instead of replacing the back? I had to buy the new back myself. That’s why Medicaid needs to be reformed!
